He said Twitter is an excellent online marketing platform but "admittedly, it can be hard to do well".
E-commerce firms should look to take advantage of the potential benefits of expanding brand awareness that can be a benefit of using the social network site.
Recently, a report by Forrester Research Australia revealed that search engine optimisation and the use of social media are the top tools for online marketing.
