The world of online retail could change dramatically as more and more firms incorporate personalisation into their website design, it has been claimed.
According to inc.com, personalisation of a website is one of the most important ways to help consumers discover products when they are shopping online and a key aspect of this is recommendation engines.
Writing for the website, Vijay Chittoor said: "Personalisation and recommendation engines have been around for a while and have been a strong driver of sales.
"For example, Amazon's recommendation system was said to account for up to 35 percent of sales in 2006."
