An expert has claimed that good website design can have a major impact on the quality of online marketing.
Neil Rosen has claimed in a column for DMNews.com that promotions through formats such as email only work as well as the websites "to which they drive prospects and customers".
He explained that websites should now be created to deliver "a more robust customer experience", as well as re-engagement solutions that will help marketers benefit from them.
"Acquiring new customers is an expensive proposition," he added.
"Having a website that engages, reengages, and offers customers a sense of community goes a long way towards optimising those acquisition budget dollars."
Mr Rosen also called on companies to promote their "sense of purpose" by using a quality website experience as the starting point for their marketing campaigns.
Rachel Hawkes, account director of media consultancy firm Elemental, recently claimed that video has become a fundamental part of website design.
She stated that videos can be vital for firms looking to drive traffic through search engine optimisation, so they should place them on all relevant pages of their sites.
